Great shot! Makes me wonder if it was time and wear that caused the headlessness.
ReplyDeleteVery nice Frank. What a dark almost spooky feeling this photo has.
ReplyDeleteoh headless, i was wondering what it was.. it looked like a person but with no head
ReplyDeleteI've heard of going topless, but headless is a going a bit too far, dontcha think?
ReplyDeleteSad to see old cemeteries left to ruin and rot.
Where's her head??
ReplyDelete;)
Graveyoards have so much to offer the photographer, and they are nice quiet places as well.
ReplyDeleteThat is perfect in monochrome Frank. One of my relatives, John Biglow, is buried in Oaklawn. He was the son of my great grandfather, Silas Biglow and his first wife Mary. Silas, his second wife and my great grandmother Mattie, and 2 of their children, Charlotte and Edwards, are buried in the Southern Garden of Woodlawn. A few years ago, my sister and I spent a whole afternoon tromping around in there looking for their graves until we finally realized that they are unmarked. I have a map now, so next time we will find them!
ReplyDeleteAh she's lost her head ... wonderful shot
