Bright afternoon sun kisses beach grasses

This is how we're supposed to spend the end of a busy day. Kicking back and enjoying the delightful salt air, soft breeze and a warm afternoon sun as it grows tired and the shadows grow long. Cypress Point Park is thick with native Florida palms, plants and grasses undergoing restoration along the beach and pond. The park is inviting and relaxing and has windy walkways, sand dunes and covered shelters for outdoor dining with a beach and water view. It’s a quiet place to stroll, get sand in your toes or walk the Peke...that is if he wants to walk. (OK, OK, hound dog, I'll carry you.) Now, what was I saying about a relaxing stroll?

Very appropriate title. I think I'd like this place. I could bring our Golden Retriever...but I don't carry her under any circumstances! Heck, I can't even lift her!

@ Jacob - Would your Goldie mind wearing a small saddle and we'll have the Peke ride around on him?

Careful Frank, you may get used to that kickin' back. Assuming the Peke lets you, of course.

Beautiful shot Frank! If you put the Peke in a saddle on Jacob's dog's back, please take a picture for the blog. Also thanks for the background info on those bricks. From now on when I walk on that pathway at Maclay Gardens, I will think about Ybor City!

You know, I don't think Haley would mind at all. She's so good and gentle and loves other dogs, she'd probably do fine...except she has a bit of hip displyasia so she sidles some and drags her feet. Your Peke might find it rather like bull-riding in a rodeo!

This is such a beautiful shot. Maybe I can get there when I come down in January.
