A Spanish expedition led by Panfilo de Narváez landed near Tampa Bay in 1528. They found native villages but not the gold that had brought them to Florida's Gulf Coast. Today, Tampa is filled with lives of gold and plenty of sunshine. Enjoy. - Frank
