SKYWATCH FRIDAY - Season 4 Episode 22

The sky over our beautiful city is still solid gray and wintry-looking. Although it's not cold at all (I hate looking at that national weather map and seeing how cold other parts of the country are today), it does look though as if it'll snow at any minute. Notice that every slip has a boat snugly tied up and covered against the "nasty" winter day. Even a scene like this one with the water, yachts and the homes and buildings on Harbour Island has a dreary, sullen look without the glorious, blazing sunshine.

My shot looks a lot like Lori's at Skoog Farm but minus all the barns, fencing, crunchy ice and snow and 20 below zero temperatures. Oh, and the farm doesn't have any palm trees. (Our weather is just a tad different, right? Right?) I'm not complaining one bit but I do miss the blue skies and bright sunshine that's more typical of Tampa, even in the winter.

Visit Skywatch Friday t
o see the beauty and wonders of the world's most magnificent skies. It's always an amazing show and all brought to you by Skywatchers from all over the planet.

Never fear. Your warm sun will return soon. We have to wait five months for ours.

It does look grey -- but very still.

I'm trying to feel badly for you but with our 7 degrees, 35mph winds and about a foot of snow, I'm having a real hard time! LOL

It looked like that here today too Frank, but the temps never got out of the 40's. I like it, but I must admit I'm glad that doesn't happen too often around here.

Not cold! How dare you? Last I heard it was 46 and the rain continues to fall and it's really miserable.

Tomorrow, though the rain will continue, it's supposed to get to 74 and then perhaps break a heat record for the weekend.

Methinks Mother Nature may be punishing us for our perfidy!

Wow Frank, gray, gray, and more gray. Next you're going to be showing us a foot of snow on the ground.

I'll gladly take your grey day in exchange for ours, Frank!!

Frank...my man! It was 20 degrees, not -20! Today we had a heat wave compared to the past three days (bright and sunny, are you jealous?). That skywatch photo was taken in the high rent district! Pretty fancy.

Oh, a gray day in Tampa...sad. Here's hoping the blinding sunshine returns soon, to you and me too. It's cold and rainy here. Not very festive for Christmas shopping.
