Can't I have both? But as Dave notes, the problem is the gasoline...I remember one yacht docked in Ft. Lauderdale some years ago...it took $40,000 to fill it with gas (and that's when gas was about 1/3 of what it is today!)...

I think the answer to you question about which boat to choose depends upon who is buying the gas.
Sailboat. Since spending my summers on Cape Cod as a teenager.
Since we're dreaming, I'll take one of each, please.

I grew up on Chautauqua Lake in Western New York...Sailing is the way to go.
