It's a tough life but someone has to live it.

The Arts Center Lofts in downtown Tampa provide the backdrop for another gorgeous day. With humidity below 30% and a good breeze, the 91-degree temperature seems almost comfortable. These condominiums are on Doyle Carlton Drive just north of the Tampa Performing Arts Center and right on the Hillsborough River. The boat that is fast making its way down the river towards the bay is a 37-foot Maxum Sport Yacht. Along with a sleek appearance and plenty of room to entertain up top, this boat actually has two queen sized berths below deck. Although not exactly a small investment new at close to $300,000, it sure ups the fun factor on a day like this. (Can you imagine filling the 300-gallon fuel tank.? Wow!) What more could you ask for than a clear blue sky, puffy white clouds, warm breezy weather (almost NO humidity) and a pleasure craft like this one to help you enjoy the day on the water. Just add giant Gulf shrimp and a pitcher of cooling refreshment. Done!

If one can afford a condo in such a scenic location, what's a little yacht? ;)

Maybe owning the gas station where it fills-up would be a good investment.

Beautiful shot. I wouldn't mind living in one of those condos.

Thanks for stopping by The Villages DP. It's interesting in that we were there in 2004 also, stayed a few nights and looked around, but decided to buy elsewhere...ended up in Ocala.

Maybe we ran into you then?

My visit was rather surreal. I was there doing political advance work for a huge '04 campaign event. Staying in the house and living there for those days was a real experience. I loved the Starbucks right on the town sqaure. There last year for a campaign stop...just a few hours.

I'm sorry, I still find it hard to believe this area is considered "luxury" anything. I grew up in the pink apartments right across from those condos and that whole area is dirty and full of crime and homeless folks on the dirty hillsborough river. Its right next to a huge underpass/freeway. There is nothing scenic about it.
